Experience :
I’ve worked in student projects such as music video and short film for the lavuth’ibhayi film festival that took place at Numetro cinema in 2019. I worked as a camera operator and video editor.

Also on outside projects with Gqeberha production companies such as @threattricks and Chrisolutions as camera operator and editor for music video and documentaries.

Motivation :
I’m Abongile Kamana, 24 years old film maker from Gqeberha. My first brush with the world of film was when i was involved in music videos back in 2014/2015, producing for local artists but they weren’t professional we only knew how to shoot and edit them. By that time i didn’t know about institutions like The Media Workshop and i was also in Secondary School but i told myself since then I’ve known that this was what I’d love to do with my life. My strength lie to camera operating, which i have done for several student productions, and with projects, i collaborated with my industry peers such as Threattricks, Luvuyo Belu, Chrisolutions, and more. I’m also very comfortable in the editors chair working primarily with Adobe Premiere Pro. I’d love to come on to your project as a camera assistant so i may learn more and better myself as a camera operator. I’ve short many short films but i haven’t had the opportunity to shoot with someone as experienced as Mr Engels. And I’d love this opportunity to assist on set so that when i do get the opportunity to work with film makers of his calibre to be fully prepared. I’m looking foward to learn and being on set with you.
